Risk Disclaimer

Effective 2026-10-03

Read this carefully before using Reflect to copy trades. By enabling copying you acknowledge and accept the risks below.

Trading involves substantial risk of loss

Trading futures and other leveraged instruments involves substantial risk and is not suitable for everyone. You can lose some or all of your funds, and in leveraged accounts you can lose more than your initial deposit. Only trade with money you can afford to lose.

Copy trading does not reduce that risk

Copying another trader does not protect you from loss and can itself cause loss. When you copy a trader:

  • the trader's results are not your results; differences in account size, capital, timing, slippage, fees, and broker behavior mean your outcome will differ
  • a trader who is profitable in the past may lose money at any time
  • you can lose money even when the trader you copy does not, and you can lose more, or differently, than they do
  • you remain exposed to market gaps, volatility, and events outside anyone's control

Past performance is not a guarantee

Any past performance, statistics, or results shown anywhere in Reflect are not a promise or indication of future results. Reflect does not guarantee any profit or protection against loss.

You control your account and your decisions

You connect your own brokerage account, you decide whether to enable copying, you set your own limits, and you can pause or stop copying at any time. You are responsible for monitoring your account and for every position in it. Reflect places orders in your account based on the configuration you choose; the decision to use the service and accept its results is yours.

Reflect provides software, not personalized investment, financial, legal, or tax advice, and nothing in the product is a recommendation to make any particular trade.

Technology and execution risk

Reflect depends on your broker, third-party systems, networks, and market conditions. Copied orders may be delayed, may fill at different prices or sizes than the source trade, may be partially filled, or may not be placed at all during outages, disconnections, or rate limiting. Reflect does not guarantee that a copied trade will match the source trade in price, size, or timing.

Stopping copying and working orders

Blocking new entries or pausing copying does not close existing positions. The kill switch attempts to cancel resting mirrored orders, including protective exits, and close copied positions, but broker failures, market conditions, and orders already in flight can prevent or delay completion. If orders are cancelled but closing fails, a position may remain without those protective orders. The kill switch does not guarantee that your entire brokerage account is flat. Removing a connection can prevent Reflect from managing existing orders and positions. Check and manage them directly with your broker.

A mirrored working order can fill before the trader's order or when the trader's order does not fill. Working orders placed before relationship terms expire may stay live after expiry, and later fills can incur fees under the captured terms. Check the broker for outstanding orders; an expiry notice does not mean they were cancelled.

Limits, incentives, and simulated results

Contract caps, daily loss controls, margin checks, stop orders, and the kill switch do not guarantee a maximum loss. Loss controls may use realized results and delayed account information; gaps and execution failures can cause losses beyond a configured limit. Depending on your orphan-position setting, a copied position whose source closed during a disconnection may be held for you to manage or submitted for closing.

Traders earn compensation on qualifying profits and do not share your trading losses. Reflect earns a fee on profitable Standard trades even when your overall result is a loss. These payment structures create incentives that may differ from yours. A verified identity or connection badge does not establish trading skill, regulatory registration, or suitability.

Demo results are simulated, including when a live source account is copied into a demo destination. Simulated fills, liquidity, costs, and results can differ substantially from live trading and do not establish what a live account would have earned.

Taxes are your responsibility

You are responsible for reporting and paying any taxes arising from your trading and from fees or payouts processed through Reflect.
